- House first
- We look at the whole house before we recommend anything.
- Designed by us
- We do the heating design ourselves, so the heat pump suits the building.
- Funding explained
- We talk you through the schemes that can go towards it.
Where to start.
Two places to begin: the heat pump itself, and the funding that helps pay for it.
- 01
Air source heat pump installation
Every install starts with a heat loss survey of your house, and we do the heating design ourselves, so the heat pump is sized to the building it's going into. Installed through our partner, Alto Energy.

The heat loss survey
How we size a heat pump to your house.
Step 01
Survey the house
We measure each room and record the walls, windows, loft and floor insulation and ventilation, along with your existing radiators and pipework.
Step 02
Work out the heat loss
Each room gets its own heat loss figure. Added together, they tell us what the system has to deliver on the coldest days.
Step 03
Design the system
We do the heating design ourselves: heat pump size, flow temperature, radiators, pipe sizes, hot water cylinder and controls. If a radiator needs to change, we'll show you which one and why before you decide.
Step 04
Install and hand over
The system goes in through our partner, Alto Energy. Pipes are insulated, the system is set up to the design, and we take you through the controls before we leave.
What the survey covers

What our customers say
Allan & Gary installed our heat pump in April and I could not be happier with their work and knowledge. The workmanship was excellent, they kept all work areas clean and tidy. Changing from a Gas Boiler to Heat Pump can seem daunting but they would answer any question or queries I had on the system to ensure I knew how to operate it going forward and gave me confidence I was doing the right thing. Highly recommended company.
Darryl Air Source Heat Pump installed expertly. Arrived on time and worked quietly and efficiently. Work completed to a high standard. Everything left clean and tidy at the end of the day.

Heat pumps for your home
We look at the insulation, radiators, pipework and how you use your heating and hot water, then design the system around your house. While we fit it, the dust sheets stay down and everything is tidied away at the end of each day.

Is a heat pump right for my house?
It depends on the house, which is why we start with a heat loss survey. It shows how much heat each room loses and what the system has to deliver, and we design around that. If something needs to change first, such as insulation or a radiator, we'll say so.
Why do heat pumps have a mixed reputation?
When heat pumps first came onto the market, a lot of installers hadn't been trained properly. Pipes went in uninsulated and systems weren't set up right, so they ran badly. Installed correctly, a heat pump saves you money on your energy bills.
Can I get a grant for a heat pump in Scotland?
Homeowners living in their own home can apply to Home Energy Scotland for a grant of up to £7,500, with an optional interest-free loan of up to £7,500. Our grants and funding page explains who qualifies and what to do before work starts.
Do you still fit boilers?
Yes. A heat pump isn't the right answer for every house, and we install, service and repair boilers too. We arrange the gas work through an engineer we work with.
What areas do you cover?
We work across Glasgow, Renfrew, Paisley and Renfrewshire. If you're nearby, call 0141 673 4773 and we'll tell you straight away whether we can take it on.
